Roslau Wire

I am looking for #17 Roslau Plated wire. American backordered it, I
have to call them yet to find out if they will get more. I also talked to
Pacific and due to lack of sales, probably won't replenish.
It seems more people like the polished wire over the plated.

So, do I just abandon the plated and order polished?

If this wire is vanishing, can we swap stock to relieve losses?

I have enough wire to string many pianos execpt 17 & 18.
