Small potatoes when it comes to octave size discrepancies for piano.

Just think of some of the differences us mallet percussion players have
to deal with. Marimbas, xylophones and vibes all have various size key
widths, anywhere from 1-1/4" to 2 or 2-1/2".  A lot of key widths even
vary within the instrument itself.
