Unsolicited email - Does it fill up your mailbox

My wife received this tip from one of the NASA gurus she works with. I
thought it might be appropriate after the concern about the Publishers'
Clearing House mailing:

For those of us on the internet, it's just a matter of time before some
enterprising person finds your email address, puts it into and
electronic "bulk mailing list" and begins sending you stuff you may just
prefer not reading! Besides, storage space allocated to your account at
your friendly ISP is, after all, finite, and if you get too much
mail...... Why, that message from the White House could just be
rejected because your box is full!

Some of the stuff has get-rich-quick offers. Some of the stuff has
links to places whose names should not be mentioned in mixed company.
All of this stuff is called "Spam". If you're interested in stopping or
slowing down the Spammers, then you might be interested in a site
containing a neat (for IBM-compatibles) application for combating Spam.
It works with a variety of mail programs, the lates list of which is on
the Web page.

Try: http://www.compulink.co.uk/~net-services/spam/

As you can see from the URL, the site is in Merry Olde England, where
the previous owners of the colonies have a "different" sense of humour.

Have fun!
