Patrick:
When you drill your hammers (if you are doing the action overhaul,
also), be sure to investigate the drilling angle of the hammer (normally
90 degrees).  When a piano has agraffes all the way up to the top, there
has to be plate there in which to screw the agraffes.  That makes the
hammer clearance in the top treble very close.  Many times the hammer
hole will be drilled at 91 or 92 degrees to tilt it away from the player
slightly and give extra clearance there.
