I've been off line for a couple weeks, so just read a request for a referral for Silver City, NM. Jim Coleman is correct that a man named Max Springer used to service Western New Mexico Tech, but I'm not sure that is current. He was in his late 50's to early 60's fifteen years ago, when I last saw him. At any rate, his name is no longer in the Albuquerque phone directory. I suggest inquiring locally at the Univ. Not a real large music department. Last I visited there, I think there were only about 4 - 5 practice room pianos. Still, they probably attract somebody competent a couple times a year. (It's a six hour drive from ALB, a bit closer to Las Cruces, El Paso, and Tucson). Hope this helps. Fred Sturm Albuquerque
