WARNING!!! Before cleaning up Mouse leavings in pianos you should read the article in the current PTG Journal about the FATAL virus carried by Deer mice in most of the continental U.S., Canada and Mexico!! The virus is transmitted through mouse feces, urine and bodily fluids. If the virus is in the dust of the piano and you use a vacuum, you will be breathing it in as well as contaminating the customers' house. If you have cuts or lesions on your skin, the virus could infect you that way! THIS SITUATION IS SCARY, LIST! We need to change the way we handle mouse cleanup! Anyone who does not receive the PTJ and wants a copy of this report should contact the Piano Technicians Guild main office in Kansas City, Mo. The web address is:http://www.prairienet.org/arts/ptg/homepage.html email: (This address must be on my laptop which is being repaired). Maybe someone else can provide it. I don't find the e-mail address listed in the Journal. ----------------------------------------- David Skolnik Manhattan School Of Music dskolnik@msmnyc.edu http://msmnyc.edu 212-749-2802 Ext. 455
