Aquarium Sealer or Silicone-Rubber Adhesive (same thing) makes a good
adhesive for reattaching and quieting these plates.  It' adheres well, fills
the gaps and stays flexible as well.  This also works well on grands where
the same medallion is used.  Later models have screws (usually) holding them
in place.
