Hi Steve and List;

I used the American School course some years age, I think eight.  I found the
curriculum lacking and the back up support given somewhat grudgingly.  In my
opinion, the best info given in this course is to join the PTG.  For the
expense of the course, I think you would get more learning from joining PTG
and studying their journals and attending chapter meetings, getting to know
the other techs, etc., as well as perhaps buying a few basic books, like
Larry FInes Piano Book, or Piano Servicing, Tuning & Rebuilding by Reblitz.

Also, one of the most useful things I did to gain my technical knowledge was
to get an old upright, and later a no-name grand, (ones no one cared about),
and rebuild them.  Not profitable, but a really "hands-on" way to learn.
