John: You don't necssarily have to mute out the ENTIRE duplex scale, you
could merely mute out the worst offenders, if, in fact, that is the cause
of your problem. However, if the bridge pins are tight and you have solid
termination points and muting out the duplex doesn't help, you'll probably
just have to replace the offending strings.
