Jim, Just one comment: RE: moving the damper head up or down on the string might provide some relief. i.e. loosen the damper head screw and physically change the location of the head in relation to the wire. I agree. Just be sure to rebend the damper wire when you do, so that it again dampens the strings effectively. Avery Todd University of Houston atodd@uh.edu
