Before removing the old set of hammers, do an experiment. Tape
a piece of paper between the keyframe and keybed on the treble end,
leaving an inch sticking out the front. Reinstall the action
positioning it back with the cheek blocks, draw a line on the
paper where the edge of the keyframe comes to (original position),
remove the treble cheek block, and begin moving the treble end in and
out while playing notes in the C6 area. When you find the best sound,
stop and draw another line on the paper. If it's different from the
first line, you can take that distance as the amount of change you may want
to use in hanging the new hammers in that area. You may also want to
do that higher up as well to see if there should be any change there
too.
