Bob,

With my Macintosh, I use Eudora for electronic mail, Netscape as a WWW
Browser, News Watcher for reading news groups such as rec.
music.makers.piano, and for my business and University record keeping, I
use FileMaker Pro from Claris.

You should be able to export the 4000 records in your present database onto
your hard disk as a tab-delimited text file, and then import them using
your new database. This is a very easy and uncomplicated thing to do - at
least on a MAC ;-)
