Avery, I once mistakenly bored the bass hammers for a S&S D using the bore distance for the treble hammers(YIKES,OUCH;( ) I plugged the holes using ordinary hammer shanks and Titebond. Absolutley no problems throughout the life of this set of hammers. Paul Dempsey Marshall University wippen@aol.com
