I have had the most success with a dolly system such as the one in the Paul
Jansen and Son catalog (item #J4009 or J4007). This is a two part dolly
system that will fit on most verticals and raises the bottom of the piano .75
to 1 inch off the floor. Piano case depth cannot exceed 13.75 inches.
Stability is good and pedal height is adequately comfortable for most
applications. The dollies are attached to the piano at the back and on the
bottom board (pedal board) with lag screws. These also are economical
compared to some other systems - they can be purchased for less than $100.00.
