It seems years ago I read in the journal about cutting shavings off Ivory soap and dissolving them into hot water. I've forgotton the formula but I used with some success. In recent months, Tony Arguello & Leornard Gustafson have used 1/2 Woolite and 1/2 water on some very harsh pianos with it seems so far amazing results, turning around a formerly very unpleasing tone.
