Happy T-day all.
I had the good fortune yesterday to tune an 1877 48" Steinway vertical (Ser.
#36351). It has been transplanted to Boise from Houston (Yo, Avery) and is
in fairly playable condition. All parts look original with the exception of
the front rail bushings. What this customer wants however is a piano her
kids can practice and beat to death and this one isn't it. Is there a market
for such a piano among pianophiles, collectors or museums? It tuned to
itself remarkably well and the case is in good shape. Thanks.
