To all,
As you have noticed I have kept rather quiet for a long time. Those of you who
know me must be aware that this is not an easy task for Ernie Juhn. For those
who don't know me, I have been an RPT member of PTG for 35 years.
The reason for my breaking the silence quite honestly, is because MY PTG is
suffering. The postings we are witnessing are the result of unrest, unhappiness
and turmoil. How sad that after so many years of relative peace and harmony, we
all know that hell broke loose about 4 years ago. Yes, it hit me as hard and
unexpected as many others. I feel that I was attacked from behind and often
called it "Pearl Harbor Style" but I did not choose to quit. I consider the
organization to be at least as much mine as the one of those who created the
turmoil. I also know that speaking up from within the organization is the only
correct way.
As many of you know, I have taken it upon myself to write my own newsletter and
distribute it at my own expense. At no time did I post it on this list for
publication. When asked, I gave permission to reprint it. I must say that I have
not received one single communication refuting any of the facts that I stated.
In fact, I have literally hands full of letters complimenting me on the
information which I produced. The purpose? A better PTG. To those who "keep
away" from PTG because of politics, let me tell you, politics is a necessary
evil and is a SMALL price to pay for what you get. My motto has been to keep
working for a better PTG for as long as I have been involved. Those who can not
deal with the heat can certainly "keep out of the kitchen" and just take
advantage of what this most wonderful organization has to offer and let the
"politicians" hash out the particulars.
I have a suggestion for Leon. If you believe that there are items you wish to
address, why not address the originators of the message? I am certain that there
are enough conscientious people here on this list who will reprint the
information if it addresses an item that was mentioned in this forum previously.
Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Ernie Juhn, RPT
