Mr. Spear,

Your defense of the alleged manipulation of power in office is
an extrodinary waste of time. Now I know that you have not heard
or seen anything of me at national conventions since I left
Dallas, so I am as far out of the loop as is possible. It's busy here.

I do know I have trusted you to lead the PTG in the best interests
of its members. There is no heart in Texas bigger than yours, so any
defamation of your character becomes a serious personal concern
for me. You have promoted the goals and priorities of the PTG and
have done an outstanding job. Remember that positions of authority
are a time to dream and execute plans that inspire others, although
unfortuntely when your sitting on top of the flag pole there
will always be someone looking up at your bottom.
The problem with this list being being an improper forum is not
your fault. As the PTG president you are forced to respond, so that
I and others know whats going on. The list started as a university
technicians forum which I believe most of us are probably PTG members.
If it would have stayed closer to that initial intention I do not
think your informative response would have been a burden to anyone.

Your friend,

Brent Fischer
