This is for Barbara,
      Try several sizes of agraffes to see if you can find one with the
correct thread.  Hope they did not use a metric thread.
      If you find one but the threaded part is too long then determine the
deptth of the hole with a probe.  Return to the shop and find a nut that will
fit on the thread then mark the stem and cut off with a hack saw.  Remove the
nut to reform the threads at the end then install the agraffe the usual way.
      If a standard agraffe with not fit get a set of metric and SAE taps
and find the one that fits the threads in the plate.  Knowing the pitch and
diameter of the threaded hole you can go to a machinist and ask him to make you
one like your sample but with this thread and thus long.
