Have you tried Posey in Hoquiam, WA? They supply spruce for pianos,
guitars, harps or anything you would like. You can specify grain pitch and
everything. Their address is PO Box 418, Hoquiam WA, 98550 and their fax
number is 206-553-2402. Andy Johnson (president) is who I've talked to in
the past.

I could check around and see what the sources are around here. I do
know one of the guys here put a sb into a Steinway B last year and got the
wood from the east somewhere. The stock for Chris Gregg's Steinway A came
from a supplier here who specializes in supplying spruce for gliders and
light aircraft. If you like I could find out the addresses.
