We started the Yamaha lease program through our local dealer this year with 5 P202s and 1 MX100II disklavier. Our total inventory is about 60 pianos, so I guess we were pretty conservative about not replacing much of our "owned" stock. Either that, or the dealer wasn't real confident of being able to sell more than that come "sale" time. So far, so good, I say although the downside is that they do require more than the usual number of tunings and, at least with this batch, they came in *very*bright (a real problem in our wood floor practice rooms). I would assume the Kawai program works about the same - just follow the previously mentioned cautions of not replacing too much of your owned inventory in case the lease program doesn't work.
