Steinway pianos: NY vs. Hamburg

To all of you who are interested in this topic...


This year's PTG event in Albuquerque is a truly "international" event;
and because of that Steinway will be bringing 2 model Ds to the show:
one NY and one Hamburg. The concert that they sponsor will have one
half on the NY piano, the other on the Hamburg.  Factory
representatives AND technicians from both locations will be on hand to
discuss this matter.  Also, some of the "bringing together" details
(with regard to the two factories) will be discussed in detail.

I hope that those of you out there who are interested - and who hold
strong views (on either side) will take advantage of the opportunity to
speak with the Steinway folks who'll be there.... you'll find a very
large contingent from both factories - - all of whom are coming for the
specific purpose of settling this issue within the technical community.
