Well, I certainly would agree that the Accu-tooner is a great
asset...especially for those silly practice rooms...problem is (from my
experience with talking to other technicians) the "crutch" factor exists. I
know a couple of techs that actually tune with cotton and or ear
plugs...something unsanctamonial about that. This can be a valuable tool to
keep one's ear sharp as long as he listens to what he sees. Most of my
tunings to date though are done aurally...as far as time factor...still able
to tune in 45-50 minutes providing overall pitch is there.

As far as in the home...your aural abilities are a definite marketing tool
that shows the customer your professionalism, training, and personal care
they feel they deserve...but please don't stop there, clean the keys with
Key-Brite and they won't mind an Accu-tuner next time!...they figure you know
what you are doing, besides when is the last time a piano toooner did
anything for them but tuned?

Just a little marketing humor from your online Cory guy...Dave-Brite...Seeya!
