Do you like the superglue quick setting glue? I like having a little more time to line up the hammers when hanging. Have they changed it at all? I complained to them about it (this was 2 years ago) I would try more shanks with a better glue. When I hung the set on the M, I had about 10 seconds to get it right, and I don't like that. I also don't like glues that don't set up for several minutes. I've been happy so for with the Tightbond moulding and trim glue. Haven't had any long term problems yet. (knock on my head…)

Yes. There is a lot to like about WNG parts. I am just finishing up a complete action install on a 6 1/2’ Young Chang that had bad brackets. I’m liking working with the parts – capstans, keypins, S&F, Wips, backchecks. I’m not changing out the backaction on this one though. This is my first time using Ronsen Weikert felt. I think it’ll be a winner, even if it is a Young Chang.

I'll second that notion.

Have you considered replacing those heavy, high friction original Steinway capstans with much lighter, slicker, WNG capstans? you want to offer maximum performance or maximum authenticity? I don't think we can have both!
