I heard at some point that the Hamburg plant started using Renner parts after "the war" (WWI? WWII? wasn't clear, but I assumed at the time it was WWII). This being some kind of fairly long term agreement to resuscitate both companies after their factories were bombed. I have the impression that the current intention (maybe already happening) is for the NYC plant to provide parts for both. But I 'd be curious to know if the Hamburg plant produced its own action parts and lots of other things originally (like the NYC plant).
