My oldest son is just finishing his master's in accompaniment at the U of I. He has had a very good time, Moscow seems to be a nice town. They have gone through a couple of technicians in the last three years or so. Most of my practice is private, and I couldn't imagine doing that kind of work for a literal fraction of what I make now. The faculty is changing through retirement, etc.; the recital hall is currently being rebuilt; perhaps with the changes it will turn out to be a better job than it looks at the moment. But, I ain't going there.
