What are we comparing here? 48 hours out of a climate controlled room with a few minutes of an unplugged DC system? I don't know what to make of it. A closed piano lid, or a string cover, make a micro-climate which is lost when the cover is opened and the string cover removed. That can make a dramatic temperature change with resultant pitch change. What would be the point of a string cover if it is removed for the performance? It could make for a big tuning problem.
