Nothing on the neighborhood is affecting it! Perplexing! It checks with normal let-off and drop, but then won't fall back into place. Springs are not real strong, but firm. Is the key also hanging down when the hammer won't fall back? Does the tail have good clearance with the back check on the way back up, when you press down on the hammer while working the key? When you do this, does the jack cheat? Have you tried adjusting the lever height, and winking the jack? Is the jack burying in the cushion when the key bottoms? Possibly the longer travel of the sharp (from starting higher) could do that. Have you checked visually that the jack isn't hanging on the front of the knuckle when the hammer hangs? If the jack is burying in the cushion you could try pulling off a little of the cushion and see if that fixes it. Have you tried shortening the key dip a little bit?
