Hi Fred... I'm going to split this up into two replies as it seems best to me. As far as the exchange below is concerned... I guess I must have read you backwards :) In which case we agree as far as this goes. The rest touches on an interesting point I'll take in a separate post. Ric writes: my gut feeling goes the opposite of Freds. I would think the slow movement of pressing would allow some fibres to be pushed off to one side or the other rather then cut, where as the quick stabbing would just move too fast for this to happen.
