Hi again. As promised another cut from this years festival This time a Mozart's C minor piano concerto with The Norwegian Chamber Music Orchestra with pianist Leif Ove Andsnes directing and at the piano. This was the first concert using the piano at the Grieghallen concert hall. (same piano as in the previous post) Eric had had several days to prepare the instrument and did the tuning for this concert, so the instrument is all his at this point. At spots... you can really hear the limitations of 11 year old hammers that have been voiced and revoiced... and the limitations of an 11 year old instrument itself. Concert work at this level is like a-whole-nother ball park... tho that may not seem obvious until one works with these kind of requirements from pianists for some years. The difference between a very new instrument in the prime of its bloom, and an aging one becomes more and more apparent. It's one of those things I love about working on pianos... you always always have all this stuff to learn. Stuff we often enough just assume isn't there. Learning never ends :) In anycase... please enjoy. http://www.pianostemmer.no/music/mozart.mp3 Next up a 25 year old D with original hammers... beat to bits voiced and prepped by myself, tuned by Eric and used primarily as an accompaniment instrument in a large Gala concert at the Grieghallen. Cheers RicB
