[CAUT] Grey Market Mould

Hi Patrick

Roger Wheelock from Dampp-chaser replied on the pianotech list, and said the purple blotches are just the dye in the pads concentrating in spots as the water migrates through the pads - nothing to be concerned about.

I do believe the mould is a pre-existing condition. I live in a very dry climate (Banff, Alberta), and as long as things stay dry things like mould aren't much of a problem. Summer is a little more humid here (up to 60% or so - 42% today) - not what I would call extreme.

Thanks,
Bert
