Hey Jim, maybe these folks just didn’t want to tellme that they didn’t like them Do they usually treat you with such kid gloves? If not, then I would say that, "No news is good news." Crescendo punchings seem to be wonderful, and I am on about my 20thset. But as I think about it, maybe these folks just didn’t want to tellme that they didn’t like them. I was so excited about the results thatthey didn’t want to burst my bubble. There is always so much to learn inthis business, and nearly every time something seems “perfect” “great”etc. another tech says they’re awful. “The more I learn, the less I know for sure.” Best, Jim From:caut-bounces at ptg.org [mailto:caut-bounces at ptg.org] On Behalf Of KentSwafford Sent: Wednesday, December 15, 2010 11:45 AM To: caut at ptg.org Subject: Re: [CAUT] Crescendo punchings was RE: aftertouch Thanks, Jurgen. It's useful to know that the currentpunchings may be different from the originals I tried. BTW, when one keepstrying for good results as I did, two sets of punchings can indeed be, and inthis case were, put on more than 2 pianos. Just saying. I haveremoved all of the sets I have installed, to the immediate relief of all thepianists involved. Kent Kent has just forwarded me an invoice of a purchase ofCrescendos from me. I stand corrected - I did ship him some. Thoseold files are on a retired computer, as that sale was over 5-1/2 yearsago! Anyone reading his post (including me!) misses out on thiscrucial information. That was the first generation of Crescendos, the felt recipewas tweaked a few times in the early years. As well, it would have been more correct to use the word"both" instead of "all" in his post, as there wereonly two sets shipped. The post implies more widespread and recenttesting. A more fair and accurate wording might have been "Myexperience, based on the two sets I installed five years ago was...." I am not saying that Crescendo punchings are the only way togo in every single situation, but Kent's across-the-board rejection isvery singular, not only as postings to the list show, but in feedback frombuyers and users to me as well. (Never mind the sales figures) I stand behind every product I sell, and if something simplydoes not work for someone, I am happy to take it back. Simply let meknow, within a reasonable time frame of course. In this case, I mighteven consider extending that time offer... ;^) Jurgen Goering Piano Forte Supply (250) 754-2440 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
