I have a selection of Hale tips that I got fro the estate of a deceased tuner, I have never used the smallest one. So there must be some around. I can't remember the last time I used a different sized tip, than my #2 Hale. Hale tools were really good. I was working on an older English grand this summer; my Watanabe 1/0 tips flopped all over the place (and would have damaged the tuning pins if I used one of them). I had an older APSCO one piece tuning head/tip that was passably functional but still way too wobbly. > Patrick Draine >
