Thanks, Ron.  I think they are more destroyed than that...the whole dovetail
is gone.  But I'm pretty sure I can come up with a tapered piece glued on
from each side and then a top piece across.

Hi Jeannie,
Against all odds, I looked at the piano I have in the shop, 
and there was a repair. The inlays are about 3mm thick maple.

The details would probably differ, But I'd do roughly the same 
thing.
