[CAUT] Artist Bench

I measured the height down and up and it ranged from 19" - 21½" which is about the same as the traditional one. I'm assuming that Jansen will have any repair parts necessary. They certainly have been good about that over the years with their other benches.

Well, there's no wear in this one yet! It is very quiet and less "wobbly" than the standard bench (there are fewer moving parts). The pneumatic tube is oriented almost horizontal and attached to other levers that raise and lower the bench and keep it level. I'm impressed with the engineering.
What about range of heights? Same as standard?
Looks like something I need to get, for my piano prof who complains bitterly about the little bit of wobble and noise in a brand new bench, especially for recording sessions.
I'm guessing from the photo it is on the same principle as those pneumatics that are used for rear door in vans and the like, but with a valve added so it can be stopped at any point. The pressure is always there, and always the same, pushing the plunger outwards. Probably when seals wear out, you would need to replace the pneumatic, but that shouldn't be all that pricey (assuming it was available).
