[CAUT] Wrest pins

Martin is a wonderful craftsman and a bit of a recluse.

He rarely responds to email, phone or otehr communications.

I did get to speak to him but only by knocking on his shop door until he answered it.

I believe he gets his pins from europe though I not certain.

You just have to bee persistent and patient and keep trying until you get through.

I do have a few here (spares) but not many. I got them during my previous visit.

You could also get them from Instrument Workshop and drill the becket holes....(Just a thought)

Don,

He’s hard to reach. I have one of his instruments. If you do find him tell me how you did it! I have people wanting an instrument like ours.

Best,
JB

Can anyone tell me where Willard Martin gets his harpsichord wrest pins? I have been trying to contact him for some time with no luck. The pins I have seen on his instruments are similar to the style available at Instrument Workshop. However, they have becket holes, are not tapered and have threads. Thought I would try this list first before going to one of the harpsichord lists.

Thanks!

Don
