Use a back up (extra) box of parts.
Find a work study student.
Advise the boss about the earthquake you just experienced and request overtime.
Practice pick up sticks technique
Grin and bear it.

Sounds like you've got it covered with the pre-numbering.
Do you use one of those numbering machines or do it by hand?

thought I was getting out early today, but just knocked over my
