Not necessarily. If a dealer sells a brand with a high profit margin that the general public flocks to, and doesn't prep anything, what you get is a local clientele with poorly prepped pianos and a dealer that won't go away. From what I've seen, most areas have one or more of this type of dealer.

One thing I've learned from watching who went out of business (of any kind) during this recession is that businesses that sell bargain stuff go out first.  Low margin doesn't pay the bills when folks cut back.
