I don't find a break% formula at all in Robert's book, just a "max scale string tension" returning pounds. Is there one here I'm missing? Scalemaster has a calculation break% similar to Sanderson's, nearly as I can tell. Those are all I've looked at recently. Fred, I still don't know what you're talking about. We've talked about break% for years and years and it's always been percentage of breaking tension at the string's current tension. How about posting the formula from your spreadsheet, as I did from mine, so I can see what you're doing? Ron N
