I never learned more about dampers than from Ken Sloane at Oberlin. You may select different kinds for different situations and that would be good to hear about as well. One friend in a large rebuilding shop told me he always uses Steinway felt - on all pianos. I have tried Renner, Steinway and the basic Piano Tek felt (?Tokiwa). The jury is still out for my favorite. Damper work, to me, is one of the most challenging areas of rebuilding and I hope we will continue to discuss it. Bob Hull -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
