I've done a bit of testing, using the magnet one and then a gravity
one on the same strings. With a moderately strong magnet, I am getting
no difference of reading. I am thinking of a stronger but much thinner
one, hoping to come up with the same attractive force in a thinner
profile. But, yes, it will need some testing. I think it would be more
of an issue in the tenor section. In the mid treble, you are closer to
the termination, and the strings are stiffer, harder to move. And that
is where I would be using it. But it would be nice if it worked as
well throughout.
