Alan,

You named the top three, in my book. Ron, Ron and Del. They inspire me. I try to attend any class that they teach. I save emails that they write, and study past posts as if they were part of a textbook. I counted the number of “innovations” in my last rebuild that were influenced by them and I counted over 30. What’s maybe even more important is that I’ve tried some new ideas of my own. Some work, some not so much. But life is sure a lot more fun when your mind is open to more than mindless duplication of what a factory did. Besides their solid logic, this “think outside the box” (or, question everything) attitude is what has affected me the most.

<<<Ron,

I do not personally think that anyone has been bashing a prominent manufacturer for sport. I apologize if that's how it seemed from my last post. I thought that someone ELSE may have had that take on recent discussion and had criticized it as such.

The point of my post was to attempt (mission NOT accomplished?) to point out the importance of appreciating and, yea, supporting the efforts of the likes of Ron O., Del and yourself. I don't know what impresses me more: The pianos you guys have (re)built or your "don't accept the status quo sitting down" response to the world of pianodom.

Respectfully,

Alan Eder>>>
