Admittedly, I question whether the felt is the magic bullet or whether the hammer and felt making is. Wurzen and Weikert are both good felts I am sure. The process of how the felt is made and pressed seems to be a much more critical component. We talk about that less. One statement they made is that their felt is like the old Steinway felt. I know the Wurzen felt is good, and this (Weikert) is supposed to be the "best of the best". (Of course) But is this felt like the old Steinway? Has anyone tried these hammers? Thanks. Thanks, Jim Busby
