I'm surprised no one has commented on the post from Wessell, Nickel,  
and Gross.  Has anyone tried their composite material shanks and  
flanges?  Or are they just too non-traditional?  I think they would  
be great for a university situation, if not on concert grands, at  
least in the practice room use.
