Hi Jim,
Don't hold your breath waiting to be invited. I got into each seminar
I attended by pestering. If you don't ask, it probably won't happen.
The concert prep class now has four attendees per class - I think I
heard it was just two in a class in earlier years. So the numbers are
increasing.
I think the certificate was something Kent decided to do. He was the
one who asked us how we wanted our names spelled (the class was taught
by Eric, but Kent came around quite a bit, I'm sure partly because he
is on the verge of taking over, if that hasn't happened already). I
didn't get one for any of the previous three seminars, though I think
someone said something that seemed to imply they would send one once.
Those guys wear so many hats, and work such long hours, that things
like that are likely to be the first to get forgotten.
After attending all four, I feel my limitations much more than I did
before I attended the first one. Ars longa, vita brevis! (For those
whose Latin is shaky, that means that art/skill takes a long time, and
life is short).
