[CAUT] Requirements for contributing - Time to chill?

This thing should have been put on ice a long time ago.  If people have
something to contribute or legitimate queries then they should participate.
It is an open list serve with no membership requirements or passwords to
sign on.  If the list wishes to become closed then there are ways to do
that.  The person in question is clearly a "piano" person with legitimate
experience and knowledge.  People don't need to be associate members, RPTs
or have any pedigree, in my view.  There's certainly plenty of nonsense that
appears on the list from people who have all the credentials.  Choosing to
join or rejoin the guild and the politics of it or upgrade from associate to
RPT, is really a separate matter.
