At first I missed the point of the picture; the felt looked not-so-bad.

Then I saw the glue.  Wow!
What would be the intent?  I can't fathom why there would be mountains
of glue on the underside of a damper guide rail.
Unless his brother-in-law had the backhoe franchise.
