Hi folks... thought I might share this little example with you in case any of you dont know how to do this. In the case of different sections for shank thicknesses you want to do each section separately of course. In anycase... if you simply start with hammer number 1 and record both position and weight in the appropriate columns, then weigh your shanks and just enter the values as you weigh them (i.e. not ordered) then run the macro in the spreadsheet.. (or follow the sort procedure given) then this spread sheet example will sort them all out so that the heaviest hammer and lightest shank are always matched... one after the other. In the end the smoothest possible end SW curve is created. I measure to the hundredth of a gram just to be a bit anal about it all :)... but it does make for very little effort in evening out end strike weights.
