I use the database in Microsoft works. It has two views. The data storage
field looks like a spreadsheet with rows and columns. I use one row for
each piano, and the columns have info like piano location, brand, serial, tuning
record, work needed, work done. The best part is the custom view page,
where I can set up the page to my liking. In this view, I have one page per
piano - so all the info I want is displayed as I like it on the page. . I
can enter info on either type of view, and switch between them instantly. I
use this for my regular tuning database as well, but with different column
headings. I met someone at Kansas City who had a very extensive database for
university pianos but the program needed to run it costs a couple hundred
bucks. Microsoft works came free with my computer.
