From a CAUT committee member that is old enough to be a grandfather, there has been no talk about grandfathering and it is my guess that there will not be any. This virtual grandpappy will oppose it should that come about; just don't think it will. > That's a good question...I would like to see no grand-fathering > involved as was the case with RPT. Let's let all you good old > boys/girls take the new improved test...;-] > > David Ilvedson, RPT > Pacifica, CA 94044 I suppose this could be taken as an insult to all our work but hey, I like to think I have thick skin. :-) After all, I did say in an earlier post to keep the debate going. Taking in all these positives and negatives is a learning process for the committee and worthwhile. I guess it just boggles the mind at times when some folks will shoot down an idea before it is even presented fully. All we are asking is a fair hearing when we present our proposals. If an open mind just is not in the cards until then well, we tried. Why is change so frightening and threatening? If our proposals can advance the profession and PTG what is wrong with that? I guess we will eventually see if we indeed had better things to do. Sorry, guess I'm feeling like a grumpy old virtual gramps tonight. It's late. :-) > I'm a David, hope I can jump in.
